Structural data Typical crops harvested are: size of farm, ownership and use of land, cultivated areas, irrigation, livestock population, labour and other inputs agricultural. The Agricultural Censuses in Panama began in 1950 when the the first truly national census. In April 1961 the Second Agricultural Census; in May 1971 and 1981 the Third and Fourth Census and in April 1991, 2001 and 2011 the Fifth, Sixth and Seventh Agricultural Census, respectively.\n\nGeneral objectives:\na. To collect data on the agricultural and livestock structure, mainly from the small administrative units and allow tabulations.\nb. Provide data to serve as reference points, for statistics continuous farming.\nc. Provide frames for agricultural sample surveys.\n\nSpecific objectives:\na. Determine the number, distribution and main characteristics of the agricultural holdings.\nb. To evaluate the continuous agricultural statistics, collected during the years intercensal.\nc. DATA PROCESSING AND ARCHIVING\nTo obtain the census results in a timely manner, IINEC decentralized the data entry process to its regional offices in nine data capture centres. Microcomputer networks were established in each of the capture centres, consisting of a server with the Windows 2008 Server operating system, laptop computers for supervisors and data entry devices.
