The Monitoring System consists of primary data collected from households on a periodic basis (more or less every four months, depending on seasonality). Between 24 October and 27 November 2021 FAO launched a face-to-face household survey. About 3 840 households were planned and 3 685 (96 percent) of households responded to the survey across the 14 administrative districts (admin 2 level) according to the 2015 population and housing census from 340 enumeration areas. \n\nFor more information, see https:\/\/data-in-emergencies.fao.org\/pages\/monitoring.","time_periods":[{"start":"2021-10-24","end":"2021-11-27","cycle":""}],"coll_dates":[{"start":"2021-10-24","end":"2021-11-27","cycle":""}],"nation":[{"name":"Sierra Leone","abbreviation":"SLE"}],"geog_coverage":"National coverage","analysis_unit":"Households","data_kind":"Sample survey data [ssd]","notes":"The survey collected information on:\n- HOUSEHOLD : household information\n- INCOME SOURCES SHOCKS : income changes, shocks experienced by households\n- CROP PRODUCTION : crops planted, area planted, area harvested, crop production difficulties \n- CROP MARKETING : crop sale difficulties, crop sale price\n- LIVESTOCK PRODUCTION : types of livestock present on holding, number of livestock, livestock production difficulties \n- LIVESTOCK MARKETING : livestock sale, livestock sale difficulties, livestock sale price \n- FISHERIES PRODUCTION : fish activity, comparison of fish production, \n- FISHERIES MARKETING : fish sale, fish sale difficulties, fish sale price \n- FOOD SECURITY AND CONSUMPTION : food consumption, food utilization, coping strategies \n- NEEDS ASSISTANCE : open questions on the needs for assistance","ex_post_evaluation":{"completion_date":"","type":""}},"method":{"data_collection":{"sampling_procedure":"F2F data collection in Sierra Leone was conducted between 24th October to 27th November, 2021 using Personal Digital Assistants (PDAs) by trained enumerators. 320 Enumeration Areas (EAs) were selected across the 14 districts (considering the old administrative boundary of 2015 Population and housing census).
