High-frequency monitoring (HFM) surveys, alternating with regular DIEM surveys, aim to support early warning and decision-making. This survey did not collect any data on crops, livestock, or need for assistance. Data were collected via Computer-Assisted Telephone Interviews (CATI) using Random Digit Dialing (RDD) from 2454 households across all 22 governorates between 11 and 25 September 2023. \n\nFor more information, see https:\/\/data-in-emergencies.fao.org\/pages\/monitoring.","coll_dates":[{"start":"2023-09-11","end":"2023-09-25","cycle":""}],"nation":[{"name":"Yemen","abbreviation":"YEM"}],"geog_coverage":"National coverage","analysis_unit":"Households","data_kind":"Sample survey data [ssd]","notes":"The survey collected information on the following areas:\n- HOUSEHOLD: household information \n- INCOME SOURCES, SHOCKS: income changes, shocks experienced by households \n- CROP PRODUCTION: crops planted, area planted, area harvested, crop production difficulties \n- CROP MARKETING: crop sale difficulties, crop sale price \n- LIVESTOCK PRODUCTION: types of livestock present on holding, number of livestock, livestock production difficulties \n- LIVESTOCK MARKETING: livestock sale, livestock sale difficulties, livestock sale price \n- FISHERIES PRODUCTION: fish activity, comparison of fish production\n- FISHERIES MARKETING: fish sale, fish sale difficulties, fish sale price \n- FOOD SECURITY AND CONSUMPTION: food consumption, food utilization, comping strategies \n- NEEDS ASSISTANCE: open questions on the needs for assistance"},"method":{"data_collection":{"sampling_procedure":"The survey was conducted using Computer-Assisted Telephone Interviewing (CATI) with Random Digit Dialing (RDD). The initial sample consisted of 2420 households, with 110 households surveyed in each of the 22 governorates. The sample was then increased by 15 percent to eliminate urban biases due to CATI. Eventually, 2454 households were surveyed, and sample targets were met in all governorates.
