The Monitoring System consists of primary data collected from households on a periodic basis (approximately every four months, depending on seasonality). In partnership with Lebanon\u2019s Ministry of Agriculture, FAO conducted a household survey in Lebanon using Computer-Assisted Telephone Interviews (CATI) from 10 August to 7 September 2023 to monitor the impact of shocks on agricultural livelihoods and food security. A total of 1050 agricultural households were interviewed across seven governorates: Akkar, Baalbek-El Hermel, Bekaa, Mount Lebanon, El Nabatieh, North and South. Using probability sampling, namely systematic sampling, 150 agricultural households were selected from each governorate.  Survey results are comparable to those from previous rounds, which collected data from the same cohort of 1050 agricultural households. The weighting process corrected for disproportionalities in land size and in the distribution of the farming population across governorates. \n\t\t  \nRegional strata weights were applied to adjust the data according to the actual population distribution within each region. Farm size was used as a proxy for wealth, correcting for the overrepresentation of large and specialized farms in the sample.
