          For sample selection, two-stage cluster sampling was used. In the first stage, 60 villages were randomly selected per county (15 in each sub-county) with probability proportional to size (PPS) using R software. Then, for the sampled villages, lists of households were prepared by community health workers. In the second stage, 10 households with women (or caregivers) and their children aged 6-23 months residing in the sampled villages were randomly selected from these lists. In households where more than one eligible woman was present, the woman with the youngest child, who would still be aged below 2 years at the time of the survey in November, was selected and included in the study.

          <![CDATA[As the baseline assessment of the INULA initiative, this study provides initial data that will be used as a reference point for future studies, and it was conducted between July and August.
		  
Dietary assessment of the participants was performed using individual quantitative 24-hour recalls through paper questionnaires. For each respondents, two recalls were collected (one per season), with an average of 90 days between the recalls.]]>
