For the other years, figures were derived from trends based on demographic projections from the National Institute of Statistics and Demography (Institut National de la Statistique et de la D\u00e9mographie, INSD) and other expert assessments.\n\nThe first quantitative sample survey was conducted in 1993, marking the beginning of the Permanent Agricultural Survey (Enqu\u00eate Permanente Agricole, EPA).\n\nThe EPA was therefore established as a permanent survey in 1993 and has been carried out annually ever since. Its primary purpose is to provide information on the main agricultural aggregates (agricultural production, cultivated area, yields, etc.) as well as food security. The survey targets agricultural households and farms engaged in rain-fed and\/or dry-season cropping.\n\nIt is implemented by the Ministry responsible for agriculture through the Directorate General for Sectoral Studies and Statistics (Direction g\u00e9n\u00e9rale des \u00e9tudes et des statistiques sectorielles, DGESS).\n\nThe 2024\/2025 EPA represents the 32nd edition of the survey."},"study_info":{"keywords":[{"keyword":"Production"},{"keyword":"Yields"},{"keyword":"Plots"},{"keyword":"Equipment"},{"keyword":"Agricultural input"},{"keyword":"Seed"},{"keyword":"Food security"}],"topics":[{"topic":"Agricultural production"},{"topic":"Agricultural culture"},{"topic":"Livestock"},{"topic":"Agricultural equipment"},{"topic":"Food resource"},{"topic":"Pesticide"}],"abstract":"The 2024-2025 EPA makes it possible to estimate agricultural production by crop and by province with a 95 percent confidence level and a margin of error of \u00b110 percent.
