Census/enumeration data [cen] The reference period for the 2011 agricultural census was from 1 July, 2010 to 30 June, 2011; for sown area, land use, employment on holdings etc. However, information on total area and type of tenure, cropped area, number of livestock and machinery/equipment have a single reference day of 30 June, 2011. The list of farmers and lands from the Agricultural Census (AC), 2000, along with administrative registers, served as a frame for the 2011 census. Also, the population census, 2011 and the AC 2011 used the same cartographic materials. The AC 2011 was conducted using complete enumeration, thus no sampling was used. Face-to-face paper [f2f] Due to full enumeration, expansion factors or weights are not needed. After the data were digitized using optical scanning, an internal consistency procedure of the census data were carried through a programmed application. The data were anonymized to maintain results at departmental level, therefore it is not possible to derive results at the level of Enumeration Area. Also, all identifying variables have been removed. Some statistical disclosure control methods were applied that modify some specific records but do not alter general results. However, they can produce small modifications in very specific tabulations. The microdata of the General Agricultural Census 2011 is made available to users. In order to maintain the confidentiality of the information (Law No. 16,616), data that allow the direct identification of the producer or informant are excluded.
