Series Information
As in the 2014 campaign, the “Enquête Agricole de Conjoncture Intégrée (EAC-I) 2017” i.e. Integrated Agricultural Survey 2017 reinforces the agricultural conjuncture survey carried out each year by the Planning and Statistics Unit of the Rural Development sector (CPS / SDR) in collaboration with INSTAT, DNA and DNPIA. This is a survey which, in addition to the cyclical data collected by the EAC focuses on: areas cultivated by speculation, crop yields, number of livestock, prices of agricultural products, equipment, farm expenses, farmers' stocks, the vulnerability of operation and demographic characteristics of the operation. All of these areas fall within the framework of monitoring the living conditions of rural and urban households.
Abstract
The IAS 2017 is a multi-thematic survey that enables in-depth analysis of the links between agriculture and the well-being of populations and therefore allows a better understanding of the behaviour of small-scale peasant agriculture. The survey is funded in part by USAID, which is also involved in several interventions aimed at improving the living conditions of rural populations in Mali. The objectives of the AES-I are to:

- obtain fundamental data from the rural sector
- provide detailed data on the cyclical characteristics of farms at decentralized levels
- obtain detailed information on the characteristics of the agricultural population and on the various factors of production (type and quantity of fertilizers, pesticides, seeds, irrigation, credit, etc.)
- provide information on the participation of women in agriculture
- obtain detailed information on the sources of household income
