Agricultural Survey [ag/oth]
The Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) has developed a monitoring system in 26 food crisis countries to better understand the impacts of various shocks on agricultural livelihoods, food security and local value chains. The Monitoring System consists of primary data collected from households on a periodic basis (more or less every four months, depending on seasonality). FAO launched a Round 3, randomised telephone interviews survey on 28 September 2021 to monitor agricultural livelihoods and food security in Zimbabwe. Data collection resumed on 14 October 2021. The random sample of 1 539 respondents were reached, including 574 contacts from a previous round of data collection undertaken between 4 February and 9 March 2021. Between 146 and 188 agricultural households were sampled per province; weights were applied to correct for disproportionate sampling.

A total of 1 539 respondents were reached, including 574 contacts from a previous round of data collection undertaken between 4 February and 9 March 2021. Between 146 and 188 agricultural households were sampled per province; weights were applied to correct for disproportionate sampling.
The final weight is a combination of the regional base weights, quota weights to correct for the disproportionate sampling that was implemented for crop producing and livestock producing households, wealth weights as the access to flush toilets and finally the level of education of the head of household.
