Abstract
The FAO has developed a monitoring system in 26 food crisis countries to better understand the impacts of various shocks on agricultural livelihoods, food security and local value chains. The Monitoring System consists of primary data collected from households on a periodic basis (more or less every four months, depending on seasonality).The FAO launched this second-round survey consisting of computer-assisted telephone interviews on 26 August 2021 to monitor agricultural livelihoods and food security in Mozambique. Sampling Procedure
This second-round survey was representative at the provincial (admin 1) level with a 95 percent confidence level and a 6 percent of margin of error, covering 10 out of the country’s 11 provinces. Only the province of Maputo City, the country’s capital city, was excluded since it is predominantly urban. Data were collected through computer-assisted telephone interviews between 26 August and 6 October 2021. A total of 2206 households were interviewed. Between 197 and 252 households were sampled per province.
Weighting
Weights were computed based on population size and a wealth proxy (access to electricity) to correct for disproportionate sampling.

The datasets have been edited and processed for analysis by the Needs Assessment team at the Office of Emergency and Resilience, FAO, with some dashboards and visualizations produced. For more information, see https://data-in-emergencies.fao.org/pages/countries.
Other Processing
The dataset was anonymized using Statistical Disclosure methods by the Office of Chief Statistician at FAO. All direct identifiers have been removed prior to data submission.

The users shall not take any action with the purpose of identifying any individual entity (i.e. person, household, enterprise, etc.) in the micro dataset(s). If such a disclosure is made inadvertently, no use will be made of the information, and it will be reported immediately to FAO
Access conditions
Micro datasets disseminated by FAO shall only be allowed for research and statistical purposes. Any user which requests access working for a commercial company will not be granted access to any micro dataset regardless of their specified purpose. Users requesting access to any datasets must agree to the following minimal conditions:
