Agricultural Census [ag/census]
The FAO has developed a monitoring system in 26 food crisis countries to better understand the impacts of various shocks on agricultural livelihoods, food security and local value chains. The Monitoring System consists of primary data collected from households on a periodic basis (more or less every four months, depending on seasonality). he Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) launched a household survey in Zimbabwe through the Data in Emergencies Monitoring (DIEM-Monitoring) System to monitor agricultural livelihoods and food security. The survey commenced on 3 September 2022 and was resumed on 26 September 2022. The random sample of 1,441 households was representative at the administrative level 1 for eight of provinces. Sampling
For ZWE R5, the household survey reached a total of 1,441 households. A two-step sampling approach was employed, utilizing administrative data as the sampling frame to ensure representativeness at the level of the eight provinces targeted. Within each of these provinces, clusters were selected with a probability of selection proportional to size, resulting in 30 clusters per province. Subsequently, 160 households were randomly selected from each province.
Weighting procedure, observations were weighted for demographic population by province to ensure that the sample accurately reflects the population distribution across provinces.

Data processing
The datasets have been edited and processed for analysis by the Needs Assessment team at the Office of Emergencies and Resilience, FAO, with some dashboards and visualizations produced. For more information, see https://data-in-emergencies.fao.org/pages/countries.

Micro datasets disseminated by FAO shall only be allowed for research and statistical purposes. Any user which requests access working for a commercial company will not be granted access to any micro dataset regardless of their specified purpose. Users requesting access to any datasets must agree to the following minimal conditions:
- The micro dataset will only be used for statistical and/or research purposes;
- Any results derived from the micro dataset will be used solely for reporting aggregated information, and not for any specific individual entities or data subjects;
- The users shall not take any action with the purpose of identifying any individual entity (i.e. person, household, enterprise, etc.) in the micro dataset(s). If such a disclosure is made inadvertently, no use will be made of the information, and it will be reported immediately to FAO;
- The micro dataset cannot be re-disseminated by users or shared with anyone other than the individuals that are granted access to the micro dataset by FAO.
