Data was collected using the individual quantitative 24-hour recall method. Two repeated dietary recalls were collected for all survey participants, with an average time of 15 days between subsequent recalls. Both weekdays and weekends were covered in the survey.
Respondents were the parents of the children included in the study. For children aged 3 to 5 years who attend kindergarten, the kindergarten's daily menu was also used. For a few children, researchers collected information directly at the kindergarten and asked a nurse to record the foods consumed by the child.
