Other Household Survey [hh/oth]
The Standardised Expanded Nutrition Survey (SENS) is a series of survey methodologies developed by the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) and specifically designed to consider the factors that are most relevant to refugees. SENS measures not only nutritional status data but also measures relevant other data related to household composition, anaemia, measles vaccination, vitamin A supplementation, diarrhoea and other health-related indicators, infant and young child feeding (IYCF), food availability, water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH), latrine usage and mosquito nets at the household-level. By collecting all this data, SENS studies provide a detailed snapshot of the nutritional health of a refugee population at a given point in time.
This dataset contains results from the Standardized Expanded Nutrition Survey (SENS) 2023 conducted in the Holl-Holl refugee settlement in Djibouti. Data was collected from 9 July to 11 August 2023 using simple random sampling and following version 3 of the SENS methodology. Modules include demography, anthropometry, anaemia, health, infant and young child feeding (IYCF), food security, water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH), mosquito net coverage, and COVID-19 vaccination. The dataset covers children aged 6-59 months, women of reproductive age (15-49), and sampled households.

Simple random sampling was used to select households in Holl-Holl. All eligible children aged 6-59 months were included for anthropometry, anaemia, and health modules. A subset of households selected for enumeration of the food security, water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH), and maternal health modules.
Weights were computed based on the total population in Holl-Holl (as per ProGres figures) and the achieved sample size.
Standardized Expanded Nutrition Survey (SENS) Version 3 questionnaires were adapted for local context and used to collect data on demography, nutrition, food security, water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH), anaemia, infant and young child feeding (IYCF), mosquito net coverage, and COVID-19 vaccination.

Data were collected using Android tablets with the ODK software. Enumerators followed standardized SENS protocols, including repeat visits for absent households and special handling of admitted children. Daily syncs and plausibility checks using ENA software for SMART were performed.
