    Abstract

    Nutrient intake and food consumption have been found to be associated with health status, including malnutrition and metabolic diseases in adults. Therefore, the study aimed to provide information on the nutrient intake status and its association with body composition and health status of the respondents.

    The survey collected information on:

    • SUBJECTS: information on the participants such as age, sex and geographical location
    • CONSUMPTION: information on all foods consumed by each participant in each survey day, including quantities and nutrient values

    The population group covered in the dataset was adults 20-58 years old.

    Sampling

    Sampling Procedure

    Workers from all departments under clinical services in hospitals were eligible for the participant selection procedure. However, only health workers who were permanent workers, have worked for more than two years, and gave consent to participate in the study were recruited. To estimate the correct proportion of each health profession to be included in the study, the total number of work force for each health profession in the state was requested and obtained.

    For data collection, the multiple-pass 24-hour dietary recall method was used, covering both weekdays and weekends. A repeated recall was done for all subjects after an average time of 4 days.

    • Any results derived from the micro dataset will be used solely for reporting aggregated information, and not for any specific individual entities or data subjects;
    • The users shall not take any action with the purpose of identifying any individual entity (i.e. person, household, enterprise, etc.) in the micro dataset(s). If such a disclosure is made inadvertently, no use will be made of the information, and it will be reported immediately to FAO;
    • The micro dataset cannot be re-disseminated by users or shared with anyone other than the individuals that are granted access to the micro dataset by FAO.
