Agricultural Survey [ag/oth]
The Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) through its Country Office in Yemen, with technical support from the Data in Emergencies (DIEM) Hub, conducted the sixth round of its high-frequency monitoring (HFM) survey, marking the fourteenth survey overall, to track rapidly changing indicators related to shocks and food security. High-frequency monitoring (HFM) surveys, alternating with regular DIEM surveys, aim to support early warning and decision-making. This survey did not collect any data on crops, livestock, or need for assistance. Data were collected via Computer-Assisted Telephone Interviews (CATI) using Random Digit Dialing (RDD) from 2454 households across all 22 governorates between 11 and 25 September 2023.

The survey was conducted using Computer-Assisted Telephone Interviewing (CATI) with Random Digit Dialing (RDD). The initial sample consisted of 2420 households, with 110 households surveyed in each of the 22 governorates. The sample was then increased by 15 percent to eliminate urban biases due to CATI. Eventually, 2454 households were surveyed, and sample targets were met in all governorates. The survey estimates are representative of the population of Yemen and of the governorates (administrative level 1), with a 95 percent confidence level and a 10 percent margin of error.
Data were weighted during the analysis to ensure proportional representation by population size and wealth proxies - specifically, access to drinkable water ("o_hh_wealth_water") and head of household education ("o_hh_education") - at administrative level 1. Further, the categories "Illiterate" and "religious education" were recoded as “no education” due to missing baseline data. These variables are not included in the microdata, as they deviate from the standard questions and were not stored in the master table.
